When you arrive on-site your tent is already erected and fully set-up to your chosen specification, ready for you to drop your bags and head out to explore the site. Depending on the package you’ve chosen, you’ll get:
- Proper beds with real mattresses (not airbeds).
- Pillows & Blankets with bedding
- Luxury bedding (excluding Standard).
- Rugs & soft flooring.
- Interior fairy lights & ambient lighting.
- Small tables & furnishings.
- Towels (selected packages).

All guests are required to pay a refundable £50 cleaning deposit, payable onsite during check-in. This deposit will be returned within up to 14 days following your stay, provided the accommodation is left clean and tidy, with no excessive mess, and all hired items are returned in an undamaged condition.

Where is the campsite located?
You’ll be staying at Marine Drive, just about 3 miles from Edinburgh City Centre. It’s a short walk to the beach and getting to the city you can take the local bus service which will take approximately 15mins.
Does my glamping booking include tickets for Edinburgh Festival shows?
No, any bookings does not include tickets to any Edinburgh Fringe shows during August.
Is the tent hire price the same as my campsite pitch?
No, you do not require to pay any additional ‘pitch fees’ on site as your accommodation is set up and ready to go.
What kinds of accommodation are available?
We offer a range of options for a 2-night stay (minimum). From standard unfurnished bell tents to fully furnished luxury and Yurts glamping, all with cosy interiors, lighting and decor, and mattresses and bedding included on most options.
What facilities are available at Edinburgh Festival Glamping campsite?
Marine Drive offers a great range of on-site amenities, including:

How far is the campsite from Edinburgh City centre?
There is roughly a 3 mile walk or bike ride from the campsite to Edinburgh city centre. The route is very manageable. There is also local bus (fee payable) service that goes to and from the city centre, which makes it easy to pop in and out between during your stay,
How long is the camping stay?
All glamping tent and yurts packages are a minimum 2 nights stay, from Wednesday 5th August onwards with our last bookable night the 29th of August 2026. When you choose to arrive or depart is up to you, but longer stays are available with discounted options for fringe performers.
What are the payment options?
For your tent or yurt hire, you can choose to either pay in full at the time of booking or you can choose to pay a 30% deposit now followed by the remaining balance 4 weeks before your stay.
Can I bring pets?
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted inside our tents and yurts due to potential allergy issues with future guests. If you plan to bring an animal that will stay outside the accommodation then please ensure you contact us directly to learn if this is allowed and to understand their pet policy.
Is it lively or quiet?
Marine Drive is a family friendly quite site, please note we do not accept stag or hen do’s.
What should I bring with me?
That’s ultimately up to you, but generally we would recommend:
- Personal items (toiletries, comfy clothes).
- Camping chairs / groundsheet if needed.
- Snacks and refillable water bottles.
- Portable power bank if you want extra charging capacity..
- Ear plugs for louder nights.
- Eye masks for the light mornings.
Are campfires allowed?
These are only available using designated points where they are situated onsite and can’t be made at other locations.
